The Most Spectacular Styled Shoot at Davenport House

There’s no better way to showcase the potential of a wedding venue than by hosting a styled shoot, and when we were approached by Love My Dress to participate in their upcoming project, we of course said yes!

The idea was themed around the royal wedding and was also a chance to celebrate older brides and grooms. Davenport House was picked for its grandeur, elegance and romance, and expert wedding planners and stylists, Pocketful of Dreams, did a fantastic job in creating a stunning theme throughout the venue.

The elegant, tea-green walls of The Drawing Room were complemented by crisp linen, plenty of greenery and gold accents, which would make the perfect style for a contemporary yet classic look on your wedding day.

The plan was to bring a feeling of springtime to the shoot, so a bevy of beautiful blooms was the perfect way to decorate. Pastel pinks, vibrant yellow and delicate shades of white worked wonderfully with the rich colour scheme in The Saloon, where mustard yellow table linen brought out the warmth of the wood-panelled walls.

The photographer, David Jenkins, made full use of Davenport House’s exquisite features and the two amazing models really demonstrated all the romantic aspects of the setting.

We were delighted to play a part in this stunning styled shoot, and we hope it’s given you plenty of ideas for holding your perfect day at this breathtaking wedding venue in Shropshire. If you need a little more inspiration however and are looking to emulate the beauty of Harry and Meghan’s wedding, take a look at our Top Tips For a Royal Wedding at Davenport House.
